About Rose Cottage Bed and Breakfast Sidmouth

A cosy, Grade II, Four Star (as rated by South West Tourism) cottage full of character, with 4 guest accommodation bedrooms ; 3 double, 1 twin, 3 en-suite, 1 with private bathroom. Only a stones throw away from breathtaking views of the Devon coast, sea front and splendid East Devon countryside, located on the Heritage (Jurassic) coast in the Regency town of Sidmouth. One of the best B&B's in sidmouth offering both value for money and quality with a family run atmosphere

Ideal centre for both keen and novice coast path walkers with many walks inland as well as along the world famous Jurassic Coast. Sidmouth has more than one golf course to choose from. Our pretty and accessible garden, may be used by guests all year round and has ample seating.

We are located 200 yards from the Sidmouth seafront and almost as close to many interesting shops boutiques, cafe's, bistros, pub's and restaurant's. The well supported Sidmouth Manor Pavilion Theater is directly across the road and houses the Sidmouth Art Centre. A booking and ticket collection service for the theater is available, please ask when contacting Jackie to reserve a room. A small local cinema the Sidmouth Radway has all the most recent films is only a 5 minute walk away. Rose Cottage bed and breakfast in Sidmouth Devon is a family home with guest accommodation where children are welcome at extra cost and generally require a separate room to their guardian, please see tariff page for details of our reasonable prices. We are a non-smoking establishment where you may eat, drink and sleep smoke-free. All guests have access to a plentiful supply of books and board games. Each room has a flat screen TV with free view and DVD player for which you may provide your own films. All rooms except one are en-suite the fourth one having a private bathroom. All rooms are equipped with hair dryer, storage and tea/coffee making facilities. Other points of interest in the room are;

Our sausages and bacon are locally produced with our eggs supplied locally and free range. The suppliers are Devon Rose of Seaton for the meat and Random Poultry of Farringdon near Exeter for the eggs.

Healthy and tasty breakfast

Award winning, locally made produce is used in our breakfast menu. All cooked food is freshly prepared each morning and good things are worth waiting for (slow food, there are two sittings). Vegetarian meals can be catered for with advance warning. If you need to leave early in the morning with no time for breakfast ... no problem, we can provide a room only service at a reduced cost or a help your self service of limited food by arrangement.

Enjoy a day in your own beach hut overlooking the wonderful Jacob's Ladder. Explore the rock pools at low tide and enjoy the beautiful sandy beach. Rose Cottage has a beach hut available for hire at £15.00 per day from May to September. Including ; Seating for 4 people A single ring primus cooker Tea making equipment All you need for a BBQ Alternatively treat your self to tea in the Connaught Gardens Tea Rooms Garden, situated at the top of Jacob's Ladder.

 

A place to park

Parking at Rose Cottage is free but only available by arrangement as we have two spaces, so first come first served. Book a space when you reserve your room (it should be noted that a degree of flexibility is required when parking at Rose Cottage).
